Established in 2010, BetOnline Poker is a relatively new poker site. So new, in fact, that many people would (usually) steer clear given the history of new poker sites and how difficult it is for them to stand out, gain market share and, more importantly, attract poker players.

But notice that I said usually.

BetOnline Poker is an exception. While their poker client has been established for only 2 years, BetOnline as a company has been established for over 10 years online.

They are still small compared to other poker sites though. But given their experience in the sports betting industry, I have no doubt that their traffic levels will grow in the near future.

Playing Poker at BetOnline.ag for Real Money

One of the reasons why I expect BetOnline.ag to grow in the near future is because they are one of the few sites that still accept American players. And they don't exclude any of the states either, unlike many of the other US accepting sites.

Getting started at BetOnline.ag is very easy. They have software for both PCs and Macs. All you need to do is choose one, download BetOnline, run through the wizard and create an account. Then log-in.

Once you've created an account, the next step is to make a deposit. That way you can play at BetOnline for real money.

BetOnline's Bonuses and Rewards

BetOnline offers a handful of promotions to poker players.

However, what they don't have is a poker player-specific deposit bonus.

What BetOnline does have, though, is their Lifetime Bonus Guarantee. This is a 15-25% match bonus on any deposit you make for life. You'll be match 15% if you make a deposit using a credit card, and 25% for all other banking methods.

The minimum you can deposit while accepting this promotion is $50, and the very most you can earn per deposit is $900. To clear this bonus you'll need to rollover the amount 6 times. Be sure to do this, or else you risk losing your bonus and any winnings you may have earned.

Other BetOnline promotions include:

• POP (Player Option) Points - Earn 1 point for every $.10 spent in rake. Use POP points to enter $500 POP tournaments. These run every Friday at 5pm EST. There are daily freerolls too.
• $150k Guaranteed Tournaments - BetOnline guarantees over $150,000 in tournaments every month.

What Poker Games Can You Play at BetOnline?

BetOnline's game options are limited. That's not a bad thing though. It just means that players won't be scattered across 5+ game types and variations, leaving lots of empty or short handed tables. The higher concentration of players will mean fuller cash-game tables, and more tournaments and sit n go's firing off.

The only games available in the cash game section include holdem and omaha. Stakes for holdem range from 2nl to 1000nl, and 10nl to 300nl for omaha. The games are available in fixed, limit and no limit betting formats.

Texas holdem is the only game available in the tournament and sit n go section. Buy-ins start at free and top out at $40 for tournaments, and .05 to $500 for sit n go's. Variations includes heads-up, satellites, steps, 6-max and multi-table.

When I reviewed BetOnline there were 3500 players online. This was at 2pm PST (5pm EST). This is the middle of the day for most of the US, and the end of the work day for everyone else. So I would expect the traffic levels to hit at least 4-5k players during peaks hours, and probably more than that. That's definitely respectable, especially given the short amount of time BetOnline Poker has been online.

BetOnline also has a live chat option on their site. I didn't use the live chat option for this review, but I did use it for their sister site and had an excellent experience. I'd expect no less from BetOnline.
